ROLE OVERVIEW


We are currently looking for a Head of Sales to join a leading global life sciences logistics business. The successful candidate will ideally be based within the Golden Triangle (London, Oxford, Cambridge).


Our client, headquartered in the Northwest of England, specialises in science-led laboratory relocations, delivering end-to-end services from decommissioning and packing through to reinstallation and qualification. They are recognised for ensuring continuity, compliance, and confidence across complex, high-value projects.

This is a remote role across Southeast England, requiring regional travel. The position offers a unique opportunity to lead the sales function, drive strategic growth, and build long-term client relationships within a niche market.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Your duties as the Head of Sales will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:


  • Own and deliver company sales targets across relocation and project management services.
  • Manage and convert inbound enquiries with speed and strong commercial acumen.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach and market intelligence.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Leverage an existing network across life sciences, pharma, biotech, and academia to generate new opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective sales processes, lead negotiations, and support long-term business growth.
  • ROLE REQUIREMENTS


    To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Head of Sales, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:


    • A degree or higher qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Quality Management).
    • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management within life sciences or a related sector.
    • An established network across pharmaceutical companies, biotech organisations, research institutions, or academia.
    • Experience operating within a low-volume, high-value sales environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies, manage complex negotiations, and drive business growth.
