This is an exciting time to join a newly developing senior leadership team following the permanent appointment of an Executive Headteacher. As a Head of School and Designated Safeguarding Lead the role will also involve a teaching load that reflects your leadership responsibilities.

Our trust schools benefit from the breadth of the curriculum offer through CUSP (Curriculum with Unity Schools Partnership) with 1:1 iPads for all pupils in KS2 and iPad training for all primary teachers. Pupils are keen to participate in many extracurricular activities and expect a Head of School who is ambitious, motivating, and holds high expectations for success.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an existing Head of School or senior leader looking for a new challenge to develop further as part of a forward‑thinking MAT that supports staff CPD, career development, and evidence‑informed research opportunities.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily activities and strategic direction of both schools, ensuring high standards of education and safeguarding; act as Designated Safeguarding Lead; balance teaching responsibilities with leadership duties; support and mentor school staff; drive improvement through the CUSP curriculum; engage with pupils, families and the wider community; contribute to network‑wide initiatives and regional collaboration events.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Director or Head of School experience.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead improvement and drive curriculum innovation.
  • Experience in managing a team and safeguarding a diverse student population.
