Head of SHEQ and Risk - Events

Overview Our client leads on the production and delivery of large-scale sporting and leisure events across the UK, and we are supporting them to find a dynamic Head of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Risk (SHEQ). This role will be diverse, fast-paced and highly collaborative. The incoming candidate will need to be agile, flexible and knowledgeable. You will lead across all Fire, Food, Environment, Wellbeing and SHEQ matters, including reporting on performance and providing coaching and direction on compliance. Working with and reporting to the SHEQ Director, you will develop the compliance framework as part of the larger regional plan and ensure an aligned approach. Driving a positive culture of safety and promoting the ethos of 'one team' to achieve excellence within both company standards and legislative parameters. The ideal candidate will come from a large multi-site environment and be a strong generalist who is comfortable in a leadership role. Responsibilities
Experience in managing health and safety in a multi-site environment Experience of managing a team, strong leadership skills Chartered HSEQ professional desired NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Food safety essential Environmental management experience desired Experience in risk management and business continuity planning Articulate and able to confidently present to all levels of management and colleagues Effective influencing skills and stakeholder management Proficient in Microsoft office applications Internal management system auditing qualification or experience to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO27001, ISO41001 & ISO55001 PAS 79 Fire Risk Assessments and BS9997 Fire Risk Management Standard Project management and risk management skills
