Head of Technology Change Delivery - 24-month Fixed-Term Contract

A bit about the job:

You’ll lead a large-scale transformation programme that’s central to Aviva’s strategy to modernise and simplify applications and services within the technology estate.

Working with the Group CIO team, you’ll drive change across technology, people, and operations.

You’ll be accountable for delivering outcomes that make a real difference to our customers and colleagues.

This role is all about pace, clarity, and impact – and you’ll be supported by a team of over 50 people to make it happen. It’s a chance to set the standard for delivery excellence at Aviva.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale, multi-year technology transformation programs.
• Strong experience managing complex data center migrations, including infrastructure, applications, and mainframe workloads.
• Ability to develop and drive program roadmaps, manage budgets, and report progress to senior stakeholders and governance bodies.
• Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, application modernization, and cloud-native principles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams, including engineers, architects, product owners, and third-party vendors.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, change management, and navigating complex organizational dynamics, also able to demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills across senior business and technology audiences.
