About the Role
\n
We are seeking a Head of Transport Planning to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a new central logistics strategy for 2SFG. Historically, logistics and planning have been managed independently at site level. The business is now moving to a centrally managed model, and this role will be instrumental in driving that transformation. This is a great opportunity to join at an early stage, with full ownership to design, build, and implement a centralised transport and planning function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
\n
\n Take ownership of all transport links and delivery flows across the network \n
Oversee all inbound and outbound deliveries for 2S \n
Design and optimise the transport network to improve cost, service, and performance \n
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, including full contract management \n
Lead fleet management strategy (owned and/or third-party fleets) \n
Support strategy implementation, transformation projects, and change management initiatives \n

About You
\n
You are a strategic, hands-on transport leader with strong experience in food manufacturing and complex, multi-site logistics environments. You thrive in transformation roles and are comfortable operating with ambiguity, building structure and systems. You are commercially focused, data-driven, and confident influencing senior stakeholders.

Key Skills
\n
\n Proven experience in network design within a complex logistics environment \n
Experience managing a large transport fleet and/or third-party logistics providers \n
Background in food manufacturing, with experience delivering to major UK retailers \n
Demonstrated success in strategy development and implementation \n
Proven project and change management capability \n
Experience managing multi-million-pound budgets \n
