Wolverhampton | £82,654 - £95,734 per year

Start: As soon as possible until July, with the potential of a permanent position

Simply Education is seeking an exceptional Head Teacher to join an innovative Alternative Provision in Wolverhampton as Head Teacher, supporting students from Year 7 through Year 11.

This Head Teacher opportunity is ideal for a strong and compassionate leader who believes every young person deserves opportunity, structure and inspiration. The provision believes every learner has untapped potential and the Head Teacher will play a key role in unlocking this.

Achievement academic, personal and beyond is celebrated, and the Head Teacher will lead the creation of ambitious pathways that secure strong futures.

We are now seeking a dynamic, experienced and values-led Head Teacher to guide the provision into its next phase.


Role Overview

As Head Teacher, you will:


Strategic Leadership
  • Drive the strategic development and long-term direction of the provision as Head Teacher.

  • Shape and embed a powerful culture aligned with shared values and aspirations.

  • Lead the development of an ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.

  • Inspire staff through clear vision, high expectations and visible leadership expected of a Head Teacher.


Operational Excellence
  • Take responsibility for day-to-day leadership and ensure the smooth running of the provision as Head Teacher.

  • Secure outstanding teaching, targeted intervention and exceptional learning experiences.

  • Raise attainment and progress particularly in English, Maths and personal development.

  • Oversee high-quality self-evaluation and deliver effective improvement planning.


People & Culture
  • Lead, develop and empower staff, deploying people and resources effectively as Head Teacher.

  • Build a culture where students and staff feel safe, respected and able to flourish.

  • Promote equal opportunities and champion inclusion at every level.


Safeguarding & Governance
  • Ensure safeguarding is rigorous, proactive and deeply embedded across the provision as Head Teacher.

  • Maintain strong multi-agency partnerships to support the most vulnerable learners.

  • Report to governance structures in line with the annual cycle.


Continuous Improvement
  • Use evidence, evaluation and data to drive standards and innovation.

  • Identify priorities, set ambitious goals and monitor progress with precision.
