Head Waiter Overview: The Head Waiter will oversee a section and support the wider floor team to ensure smooth and consistent service throughout the restaurant. Acting as a floating support, the Head Waiter will assist across sections where needed, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support waiters and junior team members during service Float between sections to assist with service flow and guest needs Ensure consistency in service standards and table presentation Liaise with the kitchen, bar, and management to maintain pace and communication Handle VIP or special tables with professionalism and discretion Contribute to the training and mentoring of new or junior staff Uphold the restaurants service standards and attention to detail at all times Ideal Candidate: Previous experience as a head waiter or senior waiter in a high-quality restaurant, preferably with Michelin star experience Previous experience with Japanese cuisine preferably Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability Calm, confident, and solution-oriented under pressure Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences
