Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join a leading Tier 2 fit-out and refurbishment contractor, renowned for delivering high profile commercial office projects ranging from £3 to £40 million.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring health and safety compliance across complex CAT A, CAT B fit-out, and cut & carve refurbishment projects. Working closely with site teams and project managers, you’ll help uphold and continuously improve a strong safety culture across active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and drive health and safety standards across multiple live project sites
Lead site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Deliver training and toolbox talks to site teams and subcontractors
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients to promote a safety-first approach
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager role within commercial fit-out or construction projects
Background working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors is advantageous
Solid understanding of CDM regulations and current H&S legislation
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (TechIOSH/GradIOSH )
Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, collaborative approach
