Health and Safety Manager | Hampshire | Circa £65,000 + Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits\n\nIrwin and Colton has been engaged by a high-profile civil engineering contractor to recruit their new Health and Safety Manager. The role is focused on helping to ensure the safe delivery of major, long term utility contracts across the Hampshire area. This organisation have an excellent track record of health and safety and this role is critical to it's continued success.\n\nResponsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:\n\nImplementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation\nVisiting site and engaging with advisors, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquires\nConducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations.

Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance\nEngaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contactThe successful Health and Safety Manager candidate will have:\n\nProven experience in a similar role ideally within civil engineering or utilities\nA NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent\nExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities\nA strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulationsA UK Driver's license is essential.
