Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Bordon, Hampshire (with travel across the South Coast)
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

This role would suit someone who has recently gained their NEBOSH qualification or is working towards it and is looking to build hands-on experience within a busy, multi-site environment.

Location & travel
\n
This role is based in Bordon, Hampshire, with regular travel across sites primarily located along the South Coast, including areas such as Portsmouth, Southampton, and surrounding regions, with occasional travel further afield (e.g. Oxford).
\n
The majority of the team is based within the South Coast area, making this role best suited to someone locally based or within a reasonable commuting distance.
\n
A full UK driving licence is essential due to the travel requirements.
\n
The role
\n
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the Head of Compliance with the day-to-day running of health and safety across the business.
\n
This is a varied and hands-on role, involving site visits, risk assessments, training support, and ensuring compliance with current legislation. You'll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture while developing your own knowledge and experience.

Key responsibilities
\n
\n
Support the development and maintenance of health & safety policies and procedures
\n
Assist with conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures
\n
Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses
\n
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance
\n
Help deliver health & safety training to staff
\n
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
\n
Monitor health & safety performance and highlight areas for improvement
\n
Liaise with internal teams and external bodies where required
\n
Support emergency procedures and general H&S administration
\n
\n
About you
\n
\n
NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards)
\n
Some experience in a health & safety or similar role
\n
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
\n
Proactive and willing to learn
\n
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
\n
Full UK driving licence
\n
