Health & Safety Manager – Fit Out Construction Project

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a fast-paced fit out construction project in Walsall for a 35-week programme. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of all health, safety, and compliance matters on a live site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all site health & safety activities throughout the project lifecycle
* Ensure full compliance with HSE legislation, CDM regulations, and company procedures
* Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Review and monitor RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work
* Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
* Work closely with Site Managers, subcontractors, and client teams
* Maintain accurate site records and compliance documentation
* Promote a positive safety culture across the project
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within construction / fit out projects
* Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations
* NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate (Diploma desirable)
* Relevant CSCS card
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and drive standards on site
* Fit out, refurbishment, commercial, retail, or live environment experience desirable
