Job Description
Health & Safety Manager - Demolition & Refurbishment Projects. \n• City of London\n• Circa £75,000 + Travel Expenses\n• Permanent - Full Time \n• Start: 2nd February 2026\n\nA respected principal contractor would like to appoint a Health & Safety Manager for heavy refurbishment and demolition projects in London. \n\nYour initial appointment would be site based on a £30m refurbishment project in the City.
This project involves managing multiple subcontractors, including scaffolders, steel erectors, logistics providers alongside their own direct works, which include demolition, structural alterations, and concreting.\n\nYour responsibilities would include: \n\n• Conducting site inductions\n• Maintaining the training matrix\n• Managing H&S documentation\n• Carrying out inspections and audits\n• Carrying out LOLER, PUWER and other required statutory & Company checks/inspections\n • Reviewing and helping with the development of RAMS\n• Investigating accidents/incidents\n • Monitoring and ensuring H&S compliance on site\n\nAttributes and skills: \n\n• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)\n• Proven experience in structural alterations, refurbishment and demolition projects\n• Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site compliance\n• Proactive, confident communicator with strong organisational skills\n• Ability to influence and support both site teams and senior management with a collaborative approach.\n\nThis role is also known as - SHEQ Manager, Health & Safety Manager, HSE Manager, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, HSEQ Manager. \n\nFor more opportunities within the Health, Safety, Quality and Environment then please visit (url removed)\n\nIf of interest, then please get in touch with Paul Cunningham - (url removed)
