A market-leading Principal Contractor are looking for you to join a flagship scheme in Northwest Wales as Health & Safety Manager. Due to the nature of the hazards, you will have experience in major civil engineering including tunnelling and heavy M&E. The project is a future-facing Energy scheme and a chance to be part of creating an important legacy in the region.

Providing strategic support on all HSE issues at client level, whilst retaining strong operational presence on a diverse construction project portfolio, you will also be:

• Responsible for the provision of arrangements for competent advice and support, ensuring effective assurance is in place, internal and client requirements are met • Driving the behavioural safety culture throughout the business • Taking a lead on investigations, providing direction and guidance to investigators in the team and being responsible for approvals and liaison with client • Providing challenge and focus on continuous improvements whilst ensuring alignment with HSQE strategy and procedures • Managing and mentoring the team and providing support across the business with people and process • Taking an active role in developing, maintaining and promoting a positive HSQE culture, promoting ownership within operational teams
