Freelance Health & Safety Manager - Large fitout project Walsall Competitive Day Rate 35 Week Contract £5m high spec fitout
We are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Health & Safety Manager to join a major £5m office fitout project in Walsall.
This is a key site-based role, reporting into the Project Director and working closely with the operational team to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and compliance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role:
*
Lead all on-site Health & Safety activities
*
Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and current HSE legislation
*
Carry out audits, inspections and reporting
*
Drive behavioural safety and continuous improvement culture
*
Manage RAMS reviews and subcontractor compliance
*
Liaise with client representatives and external stakeholders
*
Support site management team with proactive risk mitigation

£5m new build fitout
*
Large-scale office fitout
*
Significant logistics and subcontractor coordination
*
High-profile end user
Requirements:
*
NEBOSH (Construction) – Essential
*
IOSH Managing Safely / Chartered status desirable
*
Relevant Construction Health & Safety qualifications
*
Valid CSCS Card
*
Strong experience on large industrial / commercial schemes
*
Proven track record working for a main contractor
