Our client is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Specialist to join their vibrant team in London.\n\nPosition Details:\n\nContract Type: Permanent\nAnnual Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)\nWorking Pattern: Full Time (5 days in the office due to the nature of the role)\nLocation: London City \n\nAbout the Role: As the Health & Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering a strong safety culture within the organisation. You will ensure compliance with UK health & safety legislation and promote best practices across all facilities. Your expertise will help create a safe environment for staff, students, and visitors alike!\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure compliance with health & safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH Regulations.\nDevelop, implement, and review health & safety policies and programmes.\nConduct risk assessments and safety audits across various departments.\nLead the charge in delivering H&S training programmes for faculty, staff, and students.\nPromote safety awareness through engaging campaigns and initiatives.\nInvestigate accidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.\nMaintain accurate incident records and support emergency preparedness planning.\nCollaborate with academic departments and facilities management for safe operations.\nParticipate in H&S meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
