Location: Boothen Old Road – Stoke-on-Trent

Company: Don-Bur Bodies & Trailers – Service Division

Don-Bur Bodies & Trailers are looking to recruit a skilled Heavy Goods Trailer Fitter / Mechanic to join our Service Division at our Boothen Old Road site in Stoke-on-Trent.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy and professional workshop environment maintaining and repairing a range of commercial vehicles and trailers. The position can also be site-based completing trailer servicing and running defected repairs, depending on the successful candidate’s experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Heavy Goods Trailer Fitter / Mechanic

* Servicing, maintaining and repairing trailers

* Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults

* Carrying out inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT

* Supporting off site projects where required

* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard

* Completing job sheets and maintaining accurate service records

Requirements of the Heavy Goods Trailer Fitter / Mechanic

* Previous experience as a Heavy Goods Trailer Fitter / Mechanic / Technician

* Good diagnostic and mechanical repair skills

* Experience working with commercial vehicles or trailers

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* A proactive and reliable approach to work
