A well-established and growing quarrying and materials business is seeking an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join their on-site maintenance team. This is a days-based role offering stability, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to work with a varied fleet of heavy plant machinery.


??? The Role

As a Heavy Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs on heavy plant equipment
  • Diagnosing faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Ensuring machinery is operating safely and efficiently
  • Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Responding to breakdowns to minimise downtime

? What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Heavy Plant Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and mechanical systems
  • Experience working within quarrying, construction, or heavy industry (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
  • Stable, days-based role with no shifts
  • Overtime available - Saturdays (rare): 6:30am - 12:00pm
