This is a hands-on, varied role combining depot-based diagnostics with roadside breakdown work, ideal for a confident technician who thrives on problem-solving and independence. The Role As an HGV Breakdown Technician, you’ll be on the frontline keeping vehicles safe, compliant, and roadworthy. Your responsibilities will include:
Responding efficiently to roadside breakdowns and customer call-outs Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults Servicing and repairing HGVs to DVSA and MOT standards Completing inspections, job cards, and timesheets accurately Ensuring all work meets legal and safety requirements Working independently while maintaining excellent communication with customers and colleagues Representing the business with a professional, customer-focused approachWorking Hours & Shifts 45 hours per week Monday–Friday, plus every other Saturday morning Alternating weekly shifts:
Week 1: 06:00 – 13:00 Week 2: 13:00 – 22:00 On-call rota: overnight, every other week Majority of work is depot-based, with some roadside breakdownsPay & Allowan...
