HGV Class 1 Day Driver – Coventry – £18–£20 per hour
Accept Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to work from our client’s well-established site in Coventry.
This is primarily a day driver HGV role, delivering loads of tubes to customer sites across the UK, with regular long-distance runs including Scotland. While the position is mainly days, drivers must be willing to night out up to 2 nights per week to meet operational requirements.

Key Duties
*
Driving a Class 1 HGV (C+E) vehicle
*
Nationwide deliveries across the UK, including Scotland
*
Securing loads safely and in line with company procedures
*
Completing all paperwork and PODs accurately and on time
*
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
*
Assisting in the yard when required, including use of Counterbalance and Reach trucks
*
Representing Accept Recruitment and the client professionally at all times
Requirements
*
Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
*
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
*
Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 / HGV driving experience
*
Valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift licences
*
Good knowledge of UK road networks and driver hours regulations
*
Willingness to night out up to 2 nights per week
*
Professional attitude with strong communication skills
