HGV Class 1 Driver

Night Shift

Location Shepton Mallet BA4

Salary - £17.50 per hour

Shift pattern/days worked Monday - Friday, 7pm start time

We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Monday to Friday basis, completing night shifts.

The role is HGV 1 night trunking role colleting palletised goods for delivery the next day.

Key tasks:

• Trunk run on behalf on the Pallet Ex
• Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
• Supervise the loading of palletised goods
• Plan route making sure pallets are strapped down correctly
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) 2 years minimum experience
• Proven experience as a truck driver with multi drop experience of palletised goods
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and customer service skills
