This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods, offering ongoing weekend work and long-term opportunities.Shifts • Saturday and Sunday • Start times between 05:00 and 11:00Rates of Pay • £18.00 per hour – Saturday • £19.00 per hour – SundayBenefitsAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Overtime available • On-site canteen, vending machines, and pool tables • Temporary to permanent opportunity • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programmeDay-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Completing store deliveries with handball required • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are secured correctly • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel consumption • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs • Assisting with loading and unloading when required • Completing up to three store deliveries or trunking work depending on the runEssential SkillsTo be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • Valid UK Category CE driving licence • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles • Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card • No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes • Good level of spoken and written English • Experience operating various trailer types • Excellent time-keeping and punctuality • Strong communication skills • Flexibility to work overtime when required • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesDesirable Experience • Previous experience driving commercial vehiclesTraining Provided • Industry-related training • Ongoing support throughout your employmentApplyIf you are ready to take on this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver in Solihull, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.JBRP1_UKTJ
