Were looking for reliable, professional Class 1 HGV Drivers to join the team at our client Halfords, one of the UKs leading retail brands. Youll play a vital role in keeping the shelves stocked and the customers happy, ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Youll be joining a friendly and supportive transport team where safety, respect, and teamwork come first.

Various shifts and start times available, offering full time week and ad-hoc cover over 7 days a week

Rates:

Days - £18.21 PAYE - approx. £1,001.55 weekly (55 hours)

Nights - £21.31 PAYE (paid between hours of 8pm and 6am) - approx. £1,172.05 weekly (55 hours)
£50 bonus paid if work a Saturday or Sunday

Duties:

• Driving & Delivering: Operate articulated HGVs (over 3.5 tonnes) for local and national store deliveries, including single and double-deck trailers and cage work.
• Loading & Unloading: Ensure all loads are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Route Planning: Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries, adapting to traffic and weather conditions.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with site personnel and provide excellent customer service.
• Compliance: Follow all road safety regulations and company procedures, including vehicle checks and reporting defects.

Requirements:

• A valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
• Minimum 9 months experience
• A good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• A positive attitude and a commitment to safe, efficient driving
