HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – NIGHTS (TIPTON)
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Tipton, West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity offering ongoing work, excellent rates of pay, and real prospects for progression within a professional transport environment.
Shifts
Monday to Friday

Start time: 19:00

Minimum of 8 hours paid per shift

Rates of Pay: £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently

Work primarily on double decker trailers

Complete deliveries and collections as required

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

Ensure all loads are safe, secure, and compliant

Adhere to all UK traffic laws and transport regulations

Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers

Report any defects or maintenance issues promptly

Assist with loading and unloading when required

Essential Skills
Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence

Minimum 12 month's Class 1 driving experience

Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card

No more than six penalty points for minor offences

Good level of written and spoken English

Excellent punctuality and time management

Strong understanding of UK road transport regulations

Good communication skills

Desirable Experience
Experience operating double decker trailers

Previous commercial driving experience in similar roles

Training Provided
Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
