HGV Class 1 Driver

to join our well-established client based in

Monday to Friday

07:00 starts Rates of Pay •

£17.50 per hour (rising to £20.65 per hour after 13 weeks) Benefits •

Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties •

Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required)

•

Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently

•

Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

•

Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly

•

Adhering to traffic laws and regulations

•

Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers

•

Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

•

Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential Skills •

Valid UK Category CE driving licence

•

Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles

•

Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card

•

No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes

•

Good spoken and written English

•

Punctual with excellent time-keeping

•

Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations

•

Effective communication skills Desirable Experience •

Previous commercial driving experience Training Provided •
