HGV Class 1 Driver – Multi-Drop – Avonmouth, Bristol People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol . All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description. • Working 12-hour shifts • PM start times between 15:00 – 17:00 • AM drivers starting between 03:00 – 06:00 on the same rota • Rolling 3-week rota Rates of Pay: • £18.06 per hour Benefits: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Site canteen • Training provided • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: As a HGV Class 1 Driver your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Class 1 multi-drop deliveries • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre and post journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly and assisting with loading and unloading when required • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements • Maintaining a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, Food Safety standards, and UK road networks Essential Skills: To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need: • A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) • A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good xehkeey spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles Training: • Driver assessment required prior to starting • Ongoing industry-related training and support Apply: If you are interested in this opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Driver please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
