JOB DESCRIPTION
Working Monday to Friday your role will include multi drop and full load deliveries running out of our clients depot in Peterborough.
A brief outline of the duties are as follows:
· Carry out daily walk-around checks of the vehicle, raising defects where appropriate.
· Inspect load safety before leaving the depot and request for items to be reloaded if necessary to avoid unnecessary damage and so as to ensure safety.
· Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law and company policies at all times and be respectful of other road users.
· Check goods off with delivery sites and obtain signature and print.
· Understand tachographs and drivers hours regulations and comply with them at all times
· Report any accidents as soon as possible in line with the company accident procedure.
· Attend essential training when required
· Provide excellent customer service
· Maintain the cleanliness of the cab
· Assist with yard or other ad-hoc duties in line with the needs of the business
There may be the occasional (rare) night out if required.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and be able to work well within a team.
Required experience.
* Held valid Cat C or C+E entitlement for a minimum of: 1 years
* 10 hour shift
Experience:
* Driving a Goods Vehicle: 1 year (required)
