HGV Class 1 Driver – Edinburgh
People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to support a range of clients based in Edinburgh .
This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for flexible work across a variety of contracts, including trunking, store deliveries, and general haulage.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , or Articulated Lorry Driver .
Shifts:
• Monday to Sunday work available
• Dayshift and nightshift options
• Flexible start times
Rates of Pay:
• Dayshift: £16.50 per hour (first 8 hours between 6am – 6pm)
• Nightshift: £17.50 per hour (first 8 hours between 6pm – 6am)
• Overtime 1: £19.00 per hour (after 8 hours Monday–Friday and all Saturday hours)
• Overtime 2: £20.00 per hour (all Sunday and Bank Holiday hours)
Rates may vary depending on the client.

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:
• Trunking and store deliveries
• Completing delivery paperwork
• Vehicle checks and compliance
• Ensuring safe and timely deliveries
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be an HGV Class 1 Driver are:
• Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• CPC and digital tachograph card
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and flexible approach
Training:
• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
