Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for x2 experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers in Stoke-On-Trent for a temp-perm opportunity.

* x1 afternoon driving position (weekly 50 hours minimum)

* x1 night driving position (weekly 50 hours minimum)

* Mon-Fri (occasional weekends)

* £15.05p/h (overtime available)

Responsibilities

* Safely operate HGV 1 Vehicle to deliver goods to specified locations.

* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in safe working condition.

* Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.

* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays.

* Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies at all times.

* Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Skills

* Proven 1 year experience as a HGV 1 driver

* Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK.

* Ability to operate trucks safely and efficiently, including securing loads properly.

* Good organisational skills for route planning and documentation management.

* Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary.

* Effective communication skills for liaising with dispatchers, clients, and team members. This role is ideal for individuals dedicated to safe driving practices who take pride in delivering excellent service on time.
