People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Lanark . This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive rates of pay, consistent full-time work, and genuine long-term progression.

• £16.50 – £19.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As a HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Operating and driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently  • Conducting daily vehicle checks and completing all required documentation  • Loading and delivering goods between designated locations  • Handling double-decker trailers where required  • Ensuring all loads are safely secured  • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers  • Adhering to road safety, traffic laws, and company regulations
Essential Skills
To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Driver role, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C+E Licence  • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences  • No IN, DR, DD, or CD codes  • A reliable, punctual, and professional approach  • Physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling duties  • A strong understanding of road safety and compliance
Desirable Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience in retail or distribution deliveries
Training
• Full onboarding support provided  • Paid two-day site induction  • Ongoing driver support and development throughout your assignment
