The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Glasgow area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.

Shifts:Shifts across Monday to Sunday (weekends included on a rota basis)

Hours: Days and Nights

Pay Rate:

  • Days - £18.00 per hour PAYE
  • Nights - £18.00 per hour PAYE


Location:Glasgow, G32

Job Type:Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

  • Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance, weekends included and required
  • Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units (either working on bulk collections/deliveries or trunking)
  • Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.
  • Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.


Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
  • Minimum of 6 months experience required.
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
