People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bilston, West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
The role involves the delivery of plant and access equipment , therefore previous experience with this type of load securing and strapping is essential.
Shifts
•  Monday to Friday   •  06:00 start times   •  Nights out required
Rates of Pay
•  £16.00 per hour (basic)

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to):
•  Delivering plant and access equipment   •  Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently   •  Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections   •  Ensuring all loads are correctly secured and compliant   •  Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations   •  Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers   •  Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues   •  Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:
•  Experience delivering plant, access, or commercial vehicles   •  Proven experience strapping and securing loads on flatbed or box trailers   •  Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence   •  Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles   •  No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)   •  Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card   •  Good spoken and written English   •  Excellent punctuality and time-keeping   •  Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations   •  Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
•  Previous commercial driving experience
Training Provided
•  Full industry-related training with ongoing support throughout your assignment
