HGV Class 1 Driver Temp to Perm
Role: HGV Class 1 Driver with occasional Class 2 work Location: Welwyn Garden City HGV Class 1 Pay Rate £19.50 increasing to £21.00 after 12 weeks plus overtime at time and a half Working Hours: 0800-16:45 Monday to Friday.
Our client based in Welwyn Garden City is a supplier of Mediterranean food products using temperature-controlled vehicles to stores in and around London.
HGV Class 1 Driver Responsibilities: - Trunking between Welwyn Garden City and Wembley - Occasional Class 2 driving working with a drivers mate to carry out 10-12 store deliveries. - Carry out vehicle inspections at the start of each shift and report any faults to the line manager - Debrief at the end of each day
HGV Class 1 driver, essential requirements: - Full UK Licence category C+E held for at least 1 year - Valid CPC and digi tacho card - Over 25 due to insurance - At least 6 months experience driving a Class 1 Truck in the last 12 months
Position starts on May 2026.
