HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking / Curtainsider – Tamworth, Staffordshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking / Curtainsider to join our well-established client based in Tamworth, Staffordshire .

Shifts • Monday to Friday • Start times between 03:00 and 07:00 (flexibility required) Rates of Pay • £17.00 per hour – Basic • £19.14 per hour – Saturday • £25.18 per hour – Sunday Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing, reliable work • Weekly pay • Paid training and induction • Supportive transport team and modern facilities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Completing 2–3 depot-to-depot trunking runs per shift • Operating curtainsider trailers (no handball required) • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out daily vehicle checks before and after each shift • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: • A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience • A valid Driver CPC qualification • A valid Digital Tachograph card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No major endorsement codes • Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws and regulations • Excellent communication and timekeeping skills • The ability to work independently and maintain professionalism Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Experience completing trunking or multi-drop deliveries Training Provided • Driver assessment required prior to starting • One-day paid induction following successful assessment Driver Keywords This role may also be suitable for candidates searching for: • HGV Class 1 Driver • Class 1 Driver • Cat CE Driver • Trunking Driver • Curtainsider Driver • Depot to Depot Driver • HGV Driver Jobs Tamworth • Class 1 Driving Jobs Staffordshire Apply If you are a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver based in Tamworth looking for a long-term role with excellent pay and consistent hours, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch. xbpsjku
