Position: HGV 1 Driver

Location: Purfleet, Essex

Hours: Night Shift - Starts between 18:00 - 21:00

Salary: £190.00 per shift

DriverForce UK are seeking experienced HGV 1 Drivers for our client based in Purfleet, who specialise in freight transportation throughout the UK for a mix of Container and Curtainside work.

You will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-distance hauling, be reliable, punctual and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Consistent work with 5 - 6 consecutive shifts

Night shift available.

The shifts are around 12 hours.

Starts generally between 18:00 and 21:00

Duties but not inclusive to:

Transporting goods efficiently and safely to designated locations

Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and conducting routine inspections

Adhering to all traffic and safety regulations

Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams

Load and unload cargo according to company policies and procedures.

Pick up our trailers/containers from main ports around London and deliver them to customers around the UK. Unload / load and come back to ports

Maintain logs of trips, hours, and other pertinent information

Inspect the truck before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working order

Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers as needed

Skills/Qualifications Required:

Valid HGV 1 license and clean driving record, held for 2+ years

Valid CPC and Digital tacho cards

Strong understanding of HGV operations and safety regulations

Excellent time-management and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
