We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 RoRo Driver to join a busy and professional logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled driver with Roll-on Roll-off (RoRo) experience looking for stable, ongoing work with long-term potential.

The role is ideal for someone who is safety-focused, reliable, and confident operating specialist vehicles while delivering excellent service to customers.

About the Role

As an HGV Class 1 RoRo Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of waste materials and containers between customer sites and depots. You will play a key role in ensuring operations run smoothly while maintaining full compliance with transport and safety regulations.

This is a hands-on driving role requiring strong awareness of vehicle handling, loading procedures, and route planning.

Key Responsibilities

* Operating HGV Class 1 RoRo vehicles safely and efficiently

* Transporting waste materials between customer sites and depots

* Loading and unloading containers using RoRo systems and equipment

* Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

* Planning routes to meet delivery schedules and legal driving hours

* Completing delivery paperwork, logs, and tachograph records

* Ensuring all loads are secured safely for transport

* Communicating professionally with customers, depot staff, and operations teams

* Following all health & safety and transport regulations

Requirements

* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

* In-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

* Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver (RoRo experience preferred)

* Maximum 6 penalty points on licence

* Strong understanding of driving laws, tachograph rules, and safety standards

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

* Reliable, flexible, and professional attitude

Desirable:

* Experience with RoRo or flatbed operations

* Previous work in waste transport or similar sectors
