HGV Class 1 Steel Driver
to join our well-established client based in
Wednesbury, West Midlands.

Start times between 04:00 – 07:00

£18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
•
Delivering steel products (previous steel experience is mandatory)
•
Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
•
Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
•
Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
•
Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
•
Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
•
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
•
Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
Essential Skills
•
Valid UK Category CE driving licence
•
Minimum of 12 month's experience driving Category CE vehicles
•
Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
•
No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
•
Good level of spoken and written English
•
Punctual with excellent time-keeping
•
Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
•
Effective communication skills
•
Mandatory previous experience working with and transporting steel
Desirable Experience
•
Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
•
Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided
•
Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
