HGV Class 1 Steel Driver – KingswinfordPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Steel Driver to join our well-established client based in Kingswinford, West Midlands.This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.Shifts:• Monday to Friday • Start times between 04:00 – 07:00Rates of Pay:• £17.50 – £19.00 per hour (DOE)Benefits:As a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver, you will receive:• Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programmeDay-to-Day Duties:As a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):• Delivering steel products (previous steel experience is mandatory) • Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management • Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as requiredEssential Skills:As a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver, you will need:• Valid UK Category CE driving licence • A minimum of 18 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles • Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes • Good spoken and written English • Punctual with excellent time-keeping • Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills • Mandatory previous experience working with and transporting steelDesirable Experience:• Previous experience driving commercial vehiclesTraining Provided:• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughoutApply:If you are ready to take on this opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment processJBRP1_UKTJ
