The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known and established general haulage business based in Alfreton. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join the team. Start Times: 5am on average but can be earlier or later dependent on route plans. Location: Alfreton, DE55 Job Type: Ongoing work / Temp to Perm opportunities available Pay Rates: Class 1 (C+E): £15.40 per hour (PAYE) £17.26 per hour (including rolled up holiday pay) Additional Payments: £25 Night Out Allowance (applicable to all drivers completing nights out / tramping) The Role: General haulage work across commercial and residential deliveries Operating curtainsider vehicles Vehicles are pre-loaded on arrival to site Assisting with offloading where required Minimal handball involved overall Occasional use of pallet truck and tail lift Nationwide deliveries and collections Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time Requirements: Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence Minimum 1 year driving experience required Maximum 6 points for minor offences only Valid CPC and Digi Card Good understanding of driver hours and regulations Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work Benefits (Once Permanent): £0.50 per hour attendance bonus (paid when all shifts are completed with no at-fault accidents) Health Shield scheme claim back costs on dental, medical, physio, massages and more Assigned vehicle keep the same truck 5 days full sick pay after 6 months service Stable, long-term opportunity with a well-established business Whats on Offer: Ongoing, consistent work Supportive and driver-focused transport team Opportunity to secure a permanent position To apply, please submit your CV or contact our team for more information.
