HGV Class 2 Driver ADR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to join our well-established client based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and prpgression.

Shifts: Monday to Friday 6:00am starts

Rates of pay: £17.00 per hour.

Day-to-day duties: As a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Safely transport goods to client sites

• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Performing pre-trip and post trip vehicle checks
• Adhering to to traffic laws and company procedures
• Communicating effectively with the transport office
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly

Essential skills: To be successful as a Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C licence

• A minimum of 24 month's experience driving Category C ADR vehicles

• In date ADR license required

• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes

• A valid UK CPC card and Digi card

• Good spoken and written English

• Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills

• A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations

• Effective communication skills

Desirable experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience

• Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training:

• A one-day paid induction for successful candidates
