Job Description

We are seeking an experiencedHGV Class 2 Driver with IPAFto join our growing team based in Openshaw.

You will primarily be driving a32T beavertail, delivering plant and powered access equipment. During quieter periods, occasional curtain-sidework may be required.

This is a multi-drop role involving collections and deliveries, with manual handling required. Occasional nights out may be necessary to provide driver cover (night out allowance paid).

Typical working hours are approximately 50 hours per week, with higher rates paid after 50 hours and at weekends.

What Youll Be Expected To Do

  • Carry out safe and timely deliveries and collections between business premises
  • Complete all delivery and collection paperwork accurately
  • Verify load contents and follow precise delivery instructions
  • Secure loads correctly and carry out in-route safety checks
  • Drive safely at all times, including in heavy traffic and occasional unsocial hours
  • Communicate clearly with line managers and report delays, incidents or road issues
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks and report defects promptly
  • Keep the vehicle clean and well-presented

What Were Looking For

  • Valid UK Category C licence maximum 3 penalty points
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Current IPAF certification (essential)
  • Minimum 1 year holding CPC and IPAF
  • Experience operating, loading and unloading plant and access equipment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, professional and calm under pressure
  • Powered access background preferred
