We are looking for a reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing team. The Role This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that plays a vital part in the day-to-day delivery of our volumetric concrete service. Youll be operating modern vehicles, working closely with colleagues and customers, and representing Border Mix on sites across Edinburgh, the Lothians, South Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders. Flexibility is essential, as we are a customer-led business and no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class 2 HGV vehicles in line with company and legal standards Deliver volumetric concrete to customer sites efficiently and professionally Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues on site Work independently and as part of a close-knit team Maintain high standards of punctuality, reliability and work ethic Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any issues promptly Support operational efficiency by adapting to changing schedules and site requirements Requirements Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence Strong communication skills Reliable, punctual and hard-working A positive, team-focused attitude Ability to work independently when required Willingness to learn and develop new skills Nice to Have Previous experience operating volumetric concrete mixers Experience working with concrete or construction materials Basic HGV maintenance or mechanical skills Hours & Location 40+ hours per week (flexibility is key) Typical hours are 7.30am/8.00am to 5.00pm, but start and finish times may vary We coverEdinburgh, the Lothians, South Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders. xehkeey Salary & Benefits Above-average salary 28 days annual leave per annum (inclusive of public holidays) Stable, long-term role within a well-established and respected local business If youre a dependable Class 2 Driver who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a supportive, experienced team, wed love to hear from you.
