Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

* Operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to designated locations

* Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition

* Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transit

* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any delays

* Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients

Skills

* Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid HGV licence

* Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations and loading procedures is advantageous

* Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively

* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

* Attention to detail, particularly regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance
