Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver on behalf of our client based in North Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver seeking steady, ongoing work with excellent PAYE rates and consistent day shifts.
The Role:
As a Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to a mix of construction sites and residential addresses across the region. The role involves operating a HIAB crane, with regular use of a brick grab attachment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing an average of 8–14 drops per day
- Delivering to both site and residential locations
- Operating the HIAB crane safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading using HIAB (brick grab experience desirable)
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Minimum of 2 years’ Class 2 driving experience
- At least 6 months’ HIAB experience (essential)
- Valid HIAB certification (ALLMI or equivalent)
- Brick grab experience desirable
- CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card xrlawcv
What Pertemps Offer:
- Competitive PAYE pay rates of £18.00 – £20.00 per hour
- Ongoing, regular work with consistent weekday hours
- Day shifts only (07:00 – 16:30)
- Weekly or Monthly pay via BACS
- 24-hour access to Pertemps consultants
