HGV Class 2 HIAB (clamshell) Driver/ Operative

Industry: Civil Engineering

Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 39 hours per week

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: Immediate start, ongoing (may be temp to perm for the right candidate)

Duties:

Vehicle checks, basic maintenance and reporting defects,
Safe operation of plant.
Collection and delivery of materials, unloading vehicle including use of barrow, where needed.
Tarmacking, kerbing, concreting and general groundwork, when required.
Adherence to technical specifications, schedules, standards and health & safety.

Experience:

Must have valid Category C Licence, CPC and commercial driving experience plus valid Lorry Mounted Crane ticket with Clamshell Grab/Bucket attachment
Previous experience within civil engineering, construction or highways industry is preferred.
Must be flexible with duties and happy to undertake manual handling tasks.
Must be physically fit due to nature of duties.
Must be able to work well as part of a team as well as own initiative. and have a good awareness of health and safety,
Please note at times there may be more time may be spent on manual duties than on driving duties.

Salary: £13.85 per hour worked, overtime paid at 1.5 ( when available)
