HGV Class C Driver (RORO & Bulk Tipper)

Location: Trowbridge BA14

£15.98 - £19.40 per hour

Full-Time | Permanent | 4 on / 4 off Shift Pattern

Due to continued business growth and expansion, we are currently recruiting 2 x HGV Class C Drivers for an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, 24/7/365 waste management operation, working within a professional and safety-focused environment.

The Role

As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of solid waste materials. The role primarily involves operating:

  • 32-ton RORO (Roll-On Roll-Off) vehicles
  • Bulk tippers

This position operates on a 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern, with 6:00am starts, including weekend work as part of the rota.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe collection and delivery of solid waste
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety regulations and site procedures
  • Ensuring accurate paperwork and compliance requirements are met
  • Maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class C licence
  • Previous experience driving 32-ton RORO and/or bulk tippers preferred
  • Waste industry experience highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Health & Safety conscious approach
  • Ability to pass a driving assessment and basic H&S courses prior to employment

Training & Development

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to receive additional training to operate other plant and machinery, including:

  • Telehandlers
  • Loading shovels
  • Excavators

Pay & Benefits

  • £15.98 - £19.40 per hour
  • PAYE: From £16.00 per hour
  • LTD: Up to £20.00 per hour
  • Bonus scheme available
  • In-person role
