Job Title: LGV Driver Trainer (HGV)Location: Manchester Municipal DepotSalary: £39,000 per annumHours: MondayFriday + 2 evening shifts per monthJob Type: Full-timeWe are looking for an experienced LGV/HGV Driver Trainer to join our Manchester Municipal Depot team.This role plays a key part in ensuring our drivers are trained, competent, and fully compliant with all statutory, legal, and operational requirements. You will support safe depot operations by delivering high-quality induction, training, and ongoing driver development.Key Responsibilities: Deliver a 5-day driver induction and support recruitment onboarding Provide ongoing refresher and vocational driver training Conduct driver assessments, performance reviews, and post-incident retraining Maintain accurate training and competence records using Express Class Analyse driver performance data with management to identify improvement areas Provide behavioural coaching and targeted driver support Communicate vehicle updates and technical changes to drivers Support continuous improvement of training delivery and standards About You: Minimum 3 years HGV driving experience across multiple vehicle types Experience conducting driver assessments or training is highly desirable Valid Class 2 HGV Licence with Digital Tachograph Up-to-date CPC qualification Strong understanding of HGV operations, compliance, and legislation Confident in driver checks, reporting, and performance monitoring Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evening shiftsJBRP1_UKTJ
