Job Description

Thrive are delighted to be working with a large client base covering Somerset and Wiltshire who are actively looking to recruit HGV Class 1, Class 2 & 3.5t Drivers on a temporary (ad-hoc and ongoing) basis.

Whether you're looking for a few shifts a week or consistent ongoing work, we have a variety of opportunities to suit your availability.

What you will be doing:

  • Completing HGV Class 1 or Class 2 deliveries and collections
    * Trunking, RDC, depot-to-depot or local multi-drop work (depending on preference)
    * Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring road safety compliance
    * Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and PODs
    * Providing professional and courteous service to clients

What you will need to succeed:

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) Licence
    * Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
    * Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience preferred
    * Good knowledge of drivers' hours and WTD regulations
    * Flexible and reliable attitude with good communication skills
