We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic/Technician to join our team based in Thatcham, Berkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are safe, compliant, and roadworthy at all times.
Key Responsibilities

• Day to day repair and preventative maintenance of HGVs and light vans, including MOT prep, PMI's, servicing and defects
• Repairs and maintenance of specialist road marking machines & plant
• On call Breakdown cover (Van provided) with on-call rota 1 week in 4
• Attend satellite depots to carry out repairs and maintenance
• Proactively maintain a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and colleagues

Requirements

Have a good working and mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles

Have at least 5 years relevant experience in commercial and plant fitting, or qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or above

Willing to undertake any additional training as deemed necessary as and when required.
