Salary : Up to £40,000 base + optional overtime Contract : Full-time | Permanent | Mobile If you're an experienced HGV Mechanic who enjoys working independently, solving problems on-site, and dealing with a wide variety of heavy vehicles and equipment, this role offers the freedom and technical challenge you're used to. We are a leading materials-handling specialist in Scotland, supplying and supporting premium brands including Mitsubishi, Aislemaster, Combilift, Baumann Sideloaders and Kalmar heavy trucks. With one of the largest independent rental fleets in Scotland, we provide fast, reliable engineering support to customers who rely on well-maintained equipment to keep their operations moving. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled HGV-background engineer to join our mobile team, supporting customers across Glasgow. What the Role Involves Working as part of our field service engineering team, you will: Diagnose, service and repair a range of heavy equipment including forklifts, trucks and specialist materials-handling machinery Attend customer sites across Glasgow, managing your own workload and daily schedule Work closely with local engineers and our wider technical support teams Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism Contribute to a stable, growing business where your experience is valued This role offers day-to-day variety, independence, and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with customers. What We're Looking For You'll be well suited to this role if you have experience as an: HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician Bus / Truck Mechanic Plant Engineer Agricultural Engineer Forklift or Heavy Equipment Engineer We're looking for someone with: Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability Good all-round heavy mechanical knowledge (engines, hydraulics, transmissions, braking systems, electrics, etc.) A customer-focused attitude A full UK driving licence If you've worked on heavy vehicles or machinery and enjoy mobile, hands-on work, we'd like to hear from you.
