Mechanic Light & Heavy Vehicles / Plant Technician Location: Croft About the Role Were looking for a skilled Mechanic/Technician to join my clients Transport Operations team.

Youll help keep our fleet of vehicles and plant equipment safe, roadworthy, and running efficiently.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the samefrom diagnosing faults to carrying out repairs and servicing a wide range of vehicles.

What Youll Be Doing Servicing, maintaining, and repairing light and heavy vehicles and plant equipment Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults Carrying out inspections, servicing, and MOT testing Completing repairs to a high standard Keeping accurate job records and paperwork Following all health & safety procedures Supporting and mentoring apprentices Helping improve workshop efficiency and productivity What they are Looking For Essential: Experience working in a workshop or garage Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organisation and time management Knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance (cars, HGVs, or plant) Understanding of health & safety practices Full UK driving licence Qualifications (or willing to work towards): City & Guilds (or equivalent in vehicle maintenance) MOT Tester licence HGV Licence (Category C) Desirable (Nice to Have): HGV Class CE licence Experience with plant machinery IT skills (e.g.

Microsoft Office) Ongoing professional development Key Skills Problem-solving and decision-making Communication and teamwork Ability to stay calm under pressure Planning and prioritising workload Working xbpsjku Hours & Flexibility
* Occasional out-of-hours work may be required
